What Students Get at St. Jean’s

Academic Rigor

Balanced Nutrition

Spiritual Development

Close to 700 students attend school at St. Jean’s, but many have to leave halfway through the year because they can no longer afford to pay tuition. It costs $120 a year to send a student to school for a year. This cost includes tuition, all books and lunch (for some students this is the only meal they get all day).

About St. Jean Bosco School
HAITI

Education in Haiti is highly valued, and while tuition in public schools is legally free, most children go to private schools due to the limited availability of public schools and the incredibly poor quality of their education. The Saint Jean Bosco staff is comprised of an administrator (Fr. Bavon, who is also the parish priest), a principal, and twenty teachers (sixteen men and four women).

Our hope is to bring education to the poorest of the poor and, in so doing, be the hands and feet of Jesus to some of the world’s most vulnerable. We need you to help support us on this journey — we can’t do this alone. Will you join our sponsorship family and commit to sponsoring one of our students in 2017?
